🚴‍♂️ The VeloPolska journey begins

It all started with a map, some curiosity, and a love for slow travel.

As a Dutchman, I have been familiar with the concept of node cycling — those clever, number-based routes in Belgium and the Netherlands — for several decades. It was therefore only a matter of time before I began to wonder: why not in Poland? We have the landscapes, the towns, the cycling enthusiasm… just not the structure that ties it all together.

That’s where VeloPolska comes in. My goal is to build a cyclist’s guide that helps connect Poland’s best rides — whether it’s through a future network of numbered nodes, or simply by sharing the most scenic, practical, and enjoyable routes that already exist.

This project isn’t just about maps and kilometers; it’s about making cycling in Poland intuitive and inspiring. About showing that cycling tourism doesn’t need to be complicated — that a clear sign, a quiet road, and a welcoming town can make all the difference.

VeloPolska is still in its early stages — but that’s part of the adventure. The site will grow, evolve, and hopefully inspire collaboration with others who share the same dream: to make Poland a truly cyclist-friendly country.

If that sounds like something you’d like to be part of — through ideas, routes, or simply encouragement — I’d love to hear from you.

→ Let’s ride. Let’s connect. Let’s make VeloPolska real.
